In Binder, you can easily disable access to any link you’ve created, giving you real-time control over who can view your shared content.
Best Practices:
• Receive Email Notifications: When visitors attempt to access a disabled link, they’ll see a message indicating the file is no longer available. As the owner, you’ll get notifications about these access attempts.
• Control Access Granularly: For precise access management, create unique links for each recipient. This approach allows you to control who can view your content with greater accuracy.
• Avoid Deleting Links: Instead of deleting links, which also removes associated visitor data permanently, consider disabling them. Deleted links and their data cannot be recovered.
How to Disable Link Access:
1. Navigate to the 'Files' section from the top navigation bar, open the document you want the link to be disabled.
2. Access the 'Links' section.
3. Toggle the Link Accessibility button to turn off access. The button will appear grey when deactivated instead of purple and a prompt will confirm disabling the link.
Note: Disabling access provides a quick way to manage who can see your content while retaining the ability to track visitor information if necessary.
